Meet Your Pilates Instructor

Annette Lavender

Movement, health and wellbeing have always been at the heart of what I do.

I’ve worked in the fitness and wellbeing industry for over 10 years, but my passion for movement started long before that. I’ve always believed that exercise should be about more than simply getting fitter — it should help you feel stronger, more confident and better in yourself.

I hold a First Class BSc in Sports Studies from the University of Essex and an MSc in Chronic Disease Management from St Mary’s University. Alongside my academic background, I’m qualified in Level 2 Fitness Instructing, Level 3 Personal Training, Pilates and Reformer Pilates.

Over the years, I’ve worked across a range of settings, including gyms in East Anglia, Nuffield Health and Bupa, working with people with a wide variety of fitness levels, goals and needs. This experience has shaped my approach to exercise: there is no one-size-fits-all approach to movement.

Today, I specialise in creating personalised Pilates and fitness sessions, including 1-to-1, 2-to-1 and small group reformer sessions. I have a particular interest in supporting people managing injuries and health conditions, as well as those simply wanting to improve their strength, fitness, mobility and overall wellbeing.

My aim is to create a studio that feels different from a traditional gym — calm, welcoming and personal. A place where you can take some time for yourself, feel comfortable in your surroundings and work towards becoming stronger and healthier at your own pace.

I’m so excited to welcome you to Elements Studios Norfolk and help you discover what your body is capable of.
